This is the "Whois" story of Tech-Tim and his legacy as the infamous nobody that took a catchy name that happened to pertain to his lifestyle, and transformed it an opportunity to connect the World with Technology.
Tech-Tims World started many years ago, and thanks to the ever evolving world of technology, I will carry on mission to take over the World by storm, and teach the ways of the Geek Language for the low price of absolutely free.
Hello all, My name is Tech-Tim, and I am a self proclaimed computer geek that decided around 10 years ago to pursue my passion for computers and apply my skills to the real World. It wasn't always easy, but I soon found that teaching others a few basics along the way, made my life and theirs a whole lot easier. Its not always about what you know, but it helps to know a little to have a better understanding of how things work right?
Ever since I was a youngster, I loved to take things apart and try to piece them back together. I remember trying to fix anything from Stereo systems, to VCRs. and even a TV or two in my day. If it plugged in and had a power button, I was curious of how the insides worked, and was not afraid pull it apart piece by piece and try to Jerry rig it back together. It was more of a hobby then a job, because I wasn't exactly getting my door knocked down for jobs back then.
When I was a preteen or so, the World of Computers began to blossom, and for a lot of people this new technology was nothing short of "Too Much Input", so steering clear of its existence was the normal for alot of folks. But I was intrigued by this new technology, and wanted to dive in and learn the ins and outs of this thing they called the PC.
As time went on, I quickly realized how fast this technology was evolving, and the struggles were real when it came to attempting to find my way into the nitch of the computer World. To show my age a little, I began my journey when the Windows Operating System was obsolete, and DOS ruled. But it was not long before Windows was introduced and the World of GUI interfaces was born. (Graphical User Interface)
As I grew older, I realized that my passion in computers had grown into a more then a hobby, and that is when I decided to make it my career choice. And the rest is history, and so tech-tim was born, well sorta. After a short time in the IT field, I quickly learned that some people get it, and others just don’t. This is when I came up with the idea to create a computer basics website, and connect the World with technology. And then the name Tech-Tim was born, and my first website was launched.
Tech-Tim.com has been live for nearly a decade now, and my first encounters with web design was self taught in my free time. Well maybe some at work, but that is the life of an IT guy. Due to my lack of time that can be blamed solely on “The Real World” my content fell out of date, and trying to keep up with the ever growing changes of the Technology World, and my everyday life was no easy task. But just recently I decided to dive feet first and finish what I started, and this time I was determined more then ever to create a website for the masses to love. (Well I hope anyway)
I recently sat down and did some rethinking of my strategy, and came up with a plan to ‘Keep it simple” and “Keep it manageable” because you may not know it, but managing and maintaining a website like this can be a full time job. So with my work smarter not harder way of thinking, I came up with a plan. With that being said, the New Tech-tim.com will be focused on teaching the basics and beyond, and I will start small, and add new content periodically, to keep everyone on their feet, including myself.
Bits of information from the mind of Tech-Tim will be transposed into an easy to follow, easy to learn lesson of basics in technology, and backed up with the mind of the infamous mind of “The Internet” Or Inter-webs as the not so techie describe it these days.
So sit back and relax, you may just learn a thing or two. The good thing is, there will not be a test after each lesson, you can go at your own pace, and if ever you feel as if you are experiencing a brain overload, then you are spending way to much time on my website which I am perfectly ok with having a stalker.
Please make sure that you stay tuned and visit my website frequently, because I will be adding new content for your learning experience. And dont forget to tell a friend, share my Facebook and Twitter page, or even promote tech-tim.com on your own website. I am happy to do the same for you as well. Thanks for the support everyone. Now go learn a thing or two.
